Johnson M1941 30 cal

I think something is wrong with the Johnson M1941 30 cal light machine gun, which is being upgraded to Group 101 of the airborne. He barely releases a 1 or 2 rounds of shots and then he starts to reload and as he does so he shoots straight up. Is this behavior normal?

Yes, the reload animation is longer than then reload times. But it doesn't shoot in the air, it still shoots at the target.

In my computer it is really visualized firing bursts into the air, I don't know if it will be some error in the graphic configuration? I don't know if someone else has passed him by, maybe it's just me.

It doesn't matter what it looks like. It is still shooting where it should fire. Don't worry about it, you're getting your intended DPS
