BeuteShermans

Post by Krieger Blitzer »

These things are spammable as hell.. can we have them build-able for the beta?
Should be at the normal price of a regular 76 Sherman & Firefly.
However, they can remain being fully upgraded out of the factory.. since they are captured.

wouldnt they just become more spamable?

Fuel never is an issue. But adding ammo right away on top of that would turn it into an ideal spam tank.
Ammo and MP is the only limiting factor right to field tanks. I know we have dozens of replays and yt vids proving it. The main limiting factor for PE in particular is MP. If that tank would cost only a few MP (while fuel is basically not a factor) and has ammo upgraded then SE would become a hell mighty Tank spam doc even. Even better than TS or BK doc.

They can keep the current MP price.. after all it's not weird for a captured tank to cost more than the original.. the upgrades can be purchasable then, including the 50.cal upgrade.

They need an armor fix first, because it feels like you need 90mm/17pdr to reliably pen them. Price adjustments can come after that.

While i don't deny how durable they are, yet.. i think the problem is more how easily affordable and easily replaceable they are, rather than their performance... They are quite spammable and too frequently used.

Mixed views on them.
While they are "spammable" in this doc, i would still like to add how MP hungry SE doc is.
While you are sitting on much fuel, (which would be required to get these out after your suggestion TIgar) you still need it later on for the ammo trade which is essential to keep your arty going.
What i do like about such change, is that every unit that gets called in less, is one source less to desync eventually a game.

The better question be, imo, why do people use and want to "spam" them so much? They are very or even too reliable with those magic stats they allegedly have :P

They dont cost any fuel. You can get them early.
Rifles are not for fighting. They are for building!

Either they become buildable or that we add fuel cost to the call-in.

Though, i prefer being buildable cuz call-ins lead to desyncs anyways.

.., or we kinda tweak them to make them less noticable on those Stats. They are likely to be the most RNG heavy dealer in the game and its been so for long.

Reading the latest change-log, there is nothing to complain about at all.. however; looking forward that BeuteShermans become buildable just as the SturmTiger; would be great for this to be added on the release.. though, haven't done any testing yet.
