Blitzkrieg Mod Forum

BK crashes as soon as i want to start it as of today, same for the base game. Last night i could play BK just fine. Tried deleting of CoH Relaunch under My Documents, tried verifying, un- and reinstalling, nothing works!

There has been an update for the beta today. I haven't had time to make an announcement topic yet. This seems to be connected to it. We're working on it.

My Brother has the same problem as of today. Base game runs fine, but can´t start BK without getting a crash report.

When I switch from beta to live version, the game starts without a problem. It is a beta-specific problem. Switch to the live version until we fix it.

If you don't wanna wait for the official fix, you can try this:
1) Go to (your CoH directory)\Blitzkrieg\Locale\(language you play in) and open the file with the .ucs extension. I recommend using for it some simple text editor such as NotePad that is part of Windows.
2) Once you open the file, press "CTRL+F" and search number 18100113. You'll see something like this: 3) You can see the number line goes from 18100113 to 18100115 and instead of the 18100114 there is the text that is highlighted in the picture above. Delete the highlighted text (and ONLY that text) and replace it with number 18100114. It should look like this when you're done: So, number, an empty space made by pressing "Tab" key, and a text in your language. Make sure to have the space made by pressing Tab key once. Do NOT make the space by pressing Space key several times!
4) Save the changes.

Now the game should start as normal in Beta branch. If you have trouble making this work, you'll need to wait a few hours for the official fix.

EDIT: Every time you switch between the live version and the beta, the file will be rewritten and so the change you made will be lost. If you plan to switch the branches, I recommend to make a backup of the edited file.
