I would need to see the situation. One thing that comes to mind is that when you reveal a mine, it (I think) shouldn't explode. i would say so aswell.
The change was made so the normal AP isnt as good against sniping infantry and killing its counterparts the AT guns with accurate shots.
I think it could stay that they can take out big howitzers with accurate shots without breaking immersion or balance.

It makes comebacks almost if not impossible if you for example getting HE rushed and manage to kill the tank but he infliced not just damage for your economy but also for your tiering which is not directly related to that building you lost.
