hello,
For me the clusterbombs seem pretty strong - maybe a bit too strong. 120 ammo and no infantry can pass the area (unless u like to lose 1k+ manpower) - a single bomb can kill 6 soldiers with some luck (most of the time they kill 4-5).
what you guys think about them?
Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
Well, it's bad if you walk right into them, but there are ways to prevent that.
Either use Shermans with mine clearing equipent or pioneers with minesweepers to find them, then just shoot them.

Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
I was playing royal air force - and brits seem to lack mineclearing tanks. also those mines were in range of several 88's but well to be honest I totally forgot that pioneers have minesweepers.
thanks
thanks
Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
You have to consider that, if the enemy throws those mines next to your units, a lot of those might get destroyed before even landing on the ground. And yeahbasic pios/engies have minesweeper upgrade.
Just now you made me wonder, what does PE have to detect/clear mines?

Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
You can have that "Mineflail" installed on Kangaroo...if you don't use the alternative - armored car.Oneiros wrote:and brits seem to lack mineclearing tanks.
Not sure now, but doesn't the infantry upgrade that makes PGrens cap faster say something about making the infantry capable of detecting mines?sgtToni95 wrote:Just now you made me wonder, what does PE have to detect/clear mines?
EDIT: Kettenkrads detect mines automatically
Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
Lol, i will check. I was actually counting on kettenkrad, i thought that was able to detect mines, not to defuse tho.

Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
the upgrade on grens makes them detecting mines when not moving iirc. So it doesnt prevent you from running into it. If it always detects mines it then would mean that PE cant be stopped by mines oo.

this might be going off-topic, but (i know not everything is meant to be the same) shouldn't PE have something like minesweeper or similar?

Re: Panzerelite Luftwaffe cluster bombs
Haha, yeah, actually yes. Stormpios or basic grens yould be suited for that. But well, i think we used to live with it.
Regarding SD2. They once were nasty as fuck with short cooldown and 100 ammo but also killing tanks and stuff. Right now (esspecially since Luft got something to use its ammo for-> Air strikes) with longer cooldown and higher cost i am quite fine with the sd2. Maxbe less often killing so many dudes with a single mine but well. Its far not as nasty as it used to be.
