Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
Great start! Is there a "goal" u have to reach, like a specific number of votes or something similar or its just the more u have the better is? And approx how much time would this process take if everything goes well? (And it will be for sure)

Those i've seen are vanilla players with many pvp games, so they don't get kicked, tho i had a game with guys with a lot of games on vanilla, and they had a weird playstyle: didn't even rush middle at beginning and start building many trenches. Then my team mate artied them to death, which i don't think was very welcoming, and in fact they said "coh arty mod". I hope to see them again tho.
Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
I have even experienced been kicked out as an intermidiate player. If a game is full of pros and can't be balanced with me in i will leave on my own. But getting instantly kicked without saying anything is bad.

Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
Maybe we should make a sticked topic with some tips for the newcomers. Some basics like rushing middle, dont cap with engies, camping is countered much easier than in vanilla, usage of spotters etc.
Also for all players with low stats I would advise to start doing pvp like I did - with 1vs1. That allows you to get many games and improve the stats, learn some basics and not getting mad about being kicked from bigger games. And if someone op joins your game, you can kick him yourself. He won't get mad . (Kicking someone with 1000 games, when you have 10 is justified)

Yes, you can do that...I guess the BK Noob camp would be the right place for it. I can then link it form our FB page too
Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
I think there already is a post (made by wake iirc) ,with all tips for newcomers, it just need to be brought up on top of some forum section.

Some Russian players reached me and pointed out at this:-
Bk does no longer support Russian language anymore?

Hey kwok, can you update it to the newest patch and stick it up? It's a nice work, should be put in a visible place. I am sure it will help new players to adapt their playstyle to bk.

Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
Would be nice to use also Discord text and chat channels to have a sort of "lesson room" where new players can text/ talk with/ play with experienced players just to learn how to play. I saw also this evening lots of new people, i ll try to spread the word to them about forum/discord/whatsapp Group.

Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
Little Steam update, after 9 days we are hitting rank #59, the top 50 is in sight
Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
Sorry to sound like a complete and utter noob, but where can I find this mod on steam?

You can't find it for download (yet hopefuly), it has to go through Greenlight program first - http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/f ... =907578213, then enough people must vote yes, to be "greenlighted".
After that we will probably be contacted by Valve to tell us what is going to be next step. And that next step will probably take some time too.

Alright. Thank you for the quick reply and sorry for wasting your time. I was reading about how it's being rated so high and how there's been so many new players. I was driving myself up a wall trying to find it on steam, thinking I was somehow missing the obvious like a uber noob.

Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
Even though i actually haven't had the chance to play anything on Steam recently.. due to being busy with my college exams... Yet, i keep tracking the Greenlight page from time to another for sure. And I am honestly not sure what's exactly wrong with Andrusha there :P But i really hope if he would get along and calm down hopefully. Keeping in mind that he is a long time BK mod player btw.
Anyway though, glad to hear that BK is very close to be in the top 10 now!
Keep up and best regards ;)

Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
People just not interested in CoH/Strategy probably.

Butthurt people from old bk versions, when the mod's purpose was bunker spamming vs allies AI
Re: Blitzkrieg Mod on Steam VOTE!
From what I understand there is a "voting queue", you click on the first item in the queue, vote and then you get the "next item" button - if you click on it, it shows you next item in the queue and people go through it one by one. So they don't get list of items and click only on items that seems interesting to them so an FPS genre fan can get "RTS genre" items...the voting message asks "Would you play/buy this game if it were on Steam?" - if BK mod pops up on a person who is not a RTS games fan, they will most likely vote "no".
