Is this a bug? I assume it is.
In the description of the two CW tanks, it says the Sherman V's armour is actually better than the Sherman Firefly's. I don't understand this, surely they should either be the same or the Firefly should be better.

What do you mean by?
If you mean the describtion in reward menu, there it says (or at least should say) it has better armor than Cromwell which this Sherman replaces. If you mean in-game unit describtion where armor, armament etc. is shown, then it is probably just error in describtion.
