[V5.0.0.0.] Game crashes when entering "Skirmish" screen

Hi,
I'm playing non-steam (got the disc).
It appears my game crashes when certain maps are selected in the Skirmish preparation screen. It crashes right after I click "Skirmish" in the main menu and the screen where you select map, team, mode etc.
I do not receive an error log or notification.
I tried installing ToV as well as Anthology.
This happens e.g. for the map "Bloody Gulch".
Since the last crash that map is pre-defined for setup so the game crashes EVERY TIME now when I try to play.
Tried re-installing both the game and BK Mod.

You need to be on steam, it won't work otherwise, just add your Disc game serial numbers into steam to get the game for free.

@PBlitz: If I remember it correctly, 5.0.0 was still non-steam, we went to Steam with the next version so his version should work OK with non-steam game. However I have never heard about such problem.

@0n31r05:Do you have your vanilla CoH updated? I think the last non-steam update for CoH was 2.602 - do you have that?

I've tried the Steam solution and it seems to work (aside from crashes after a battle).
