Buggy Spotting Scope upgrade

Spotting Scope ( doctrinal unlock ) belonging to the PE/TH do not work because even when I unlock it my tank hunters in ambush position will not gain additional sight range. Also the description of this unlock is incorrect. It states that I will be able to see enemy tanks in the fog of war which is not true.

after the unlock, re-ambush your tank and it will have more sight range.

Well that is inconvenient. Revealing my tank even for a while can be a problem because my enemy can see it so no longer advantage of surprise for me. Is there a possible fix which will apply the buff while Im still in ambush mode?
