If a infantry unit that uses an ability is killed by a tank driving over it it crashes my game and several other people aswell. This can only be partly circumvented but happens occasionally and is a huge nuisance especially in a heated battle. This also happens when killing a soldier who is pinned for example by tigerphobia if that soldier was tasked to throw a grenade beforehand.

I've never had this problem...can anyone else confirm this?

Happened to me most of the time when trying to get close to throw stickies. Game crashed instantly as soon as the tank drove over a soldier. As far as I know all other players crashed as well but I am not sure.
it doesn't happen that often but when it does it's annoying^^

It is weird that some people never experience it and for some it happens regularly...it reminds me of this weird issue I had some time ago. Whenever Stuart tank fired at PIV or light vehicle, the game crashed for me. But now it doesn't happen anymore...I think it started to happen after I reinstalled my Windows, since then I installed some newer versions of DirectX and other things...I don't know what solved the problem but I can use Stuarts without any crash now. I wonder if this is something similar...

I think its the same Directx11 bug, if your game is running on Dx11 and not Dx9, it will create bugs sooner or later, if you don't have Directx9 you need to download it.

Switching to dx9 fixes many bugs. For example for me it fixed entirely black screen during my replays, screenshots and streams.

I do have dx9 installed, but this CTD happens to me the same.

Will try to test it with DX9, and see if it does fix anything during the next week.

I remember a moment in time when I stopped driving over infantry becasue I was too afraid to crash the game as I had often done before.
But I thought you guys fixed it becasue after a while it never crashed, I have run over hundreds of soldiers with no problem.
So the problem is there and isn't there, he was quite specific in when it happens so maybe he found the problem?

No, Dx9 doesn't fix "bugs", Dx9 is the only way to play COH, period.
For people who play COH on dx10 or up you will get problems for sure, all the COH game & mods are based, created and coded only in Dx9 format, there is NO dx10 or up COH models based, it work yes... but with bugs because dx10+ aren't supported by the game.

I just had a CTD when a tank drove over my soldier who was going to throw a grenade xD.
