[MAP] Neuville (6) revised
Another really cool 3v3 map, with good performance having renders behing low than 100 in everypart of the map. And a high point of fuel at the center of the map. Edited the points and improved performance, added AA's at bases.

I will add screenshots in like 1 hour when i come back from the gym.
Edit: Ok im back, here we go.
Edit2 : Reuploaded the map, adding more space to build for both factions.

Re: [MAP] - Neuville Revised
Only looked at the preview and it looks very small, center seems to be at 2x mortar range from base sector, and it's not so wide too. Maybe it would be better suitable for 1v1s or 2v2s games at most.
Re: [MAP] - Neuville Revised
Well, that's a nice one. However, aren't the base sectors a little small? Especially for US it could get a little crammy, no?
Also, I like the idea of a 2v2 version of this (for a 1v1 that might be too big though).

Re: [MAP] - Neuville Revised
Indeed it looks very interresting!
Btw, as you mentionned that the map is a revision, do you know the name of the original creator, by any chance ?
Looks very well done, quality is not far from Relic's standards if you ask me.
Well, there is a trick to transform a 3v3 into a 2v2 without loosing any sector 'painting'. But i recommend to work on the 3v3 version to make it the most polished possible, so once a 2v2 is derivated from it, you don't have to make every potencial hotfix twice, on both versions.

Map was made by Skaffa its still on the description when you launch the map.sgtToni95 wrote:Only looked at the preview and it looks very small, center seems to be at 2x mortar range from base sector, and it's not so wide too. Maybe it would be better suitable for 1v1s or 2v2s games at most.
Playable size of the map is 512 x 352. Its bigger than the Trun one, but yes in screenshoots looks smaller haha. Btw i just updated the sga file, added a little more space to build for allies.

I thought it was enought space, but just in case i reuploaded the map, adding more space for both faction to build.

Re: [MAP] - Neuville Revised
@Panzer-Lehr-Division : well after LaFiere, that's an other vanilla map that looks better without the water!
@mofetagalactica : thanks for infos man!
However as it is a vanilla map port, there will probably need extra work to recover sector layout and stuff like that, especialy since the change of scale mean that the map has been stamped at some point.. For the spawns, left side can be easily explanded by removing a couple of wood chunks. For the right side, its probably safe to say that they will need to used most of the width avaliable to make sure PE buildings can all fit.
i have a lot of work lately, and also 2 other maps to finish before, but i'll keep this one in a corner of my head for future potencial additions.

Re: [MAP] - Neuville Revised
Ok, map size and visuals are good, but HQ need expansions, (a good criteria for this is to make sure that AI can fit all PE buildings)
and more important, Sector layout has to be repainted, right now its using Voronoi's algorithm, which is a big No-go for me to include map As-is in BK.
So we will 'repaint' sectors before including the map, and then validate it with serious PvP slaughter (thats the job of our beta testers right here, hehe)
If this map has been stamped, then there was no way to avoid the Voronoi calculation, just to let you guys know.
But a good habit is to never leave it as it is after hitting the button, always paint sector to fit environnments (forest edges, fences/walls, roads.. etc..).

So for now i'm working on Trun where there was a lot more modifications to finish, but this one need the sectors to be painted, and well tested, mean more time and not going to be include in next patch, because not enough time for both paiting and battle testing.
i'll come back later on this topic to keep you in touch about the status of this map.

Re: [MAP] - Neuville Revised
I think we can still include it beside the 3 others (Vierville, Benedictine Cider, Trunz) but ya; as we already agreed privately.. due to requiring more time for testing/validating those maps in order to assure the best quality possible, we would probably have to postpone the maps a little bit...
Just letting others know.
