Desyncs - Anything to stop it from happening?

Hey guys. During the stream yesterday I noticed the extreme propability of desyncs, if you don't play BK Fun Mode. Sadly MilHisVis and I prefer to capture flags instead of simply annihilating the enemy. Is there any way to get less desyncs, so we are able to play the game in our prefered mode?

Even i am not an expert, i answer :D

I noticed several things, that can lead the problem of desync, while I played with friends.
1. The Hardware - if you Hardware is not good enough, desync can happens, influenced by the size of the card, popcap and players
2. of course, how good your internetconnection is, how many packages get lost during the game, if you use wifi or ethernet.
3. but this can only be a feeling, my friends and me got the feeling, if we play with a cw, the performance get worse

I tell u what my observation on this is regardless all those 3 points.

1) I have very very low perfomance laptop.
2) i have worst connection on Earth, that aside of being not fast itself, is constantly dropping/tend to drop packages
3) CW is actually a mistery though : D

But with all that said, i never had much of dsyncs., for somewhat 1+ year of playing bkmod for now and SteamVcoh since steam shift.
However it happens to me with specific players and specific maps like 1of2 times for sure. And those players are not necessary low pefromance/bad connection either.

Cheers

1) And do you play with many kis and on extra large maps? :D
2) Its usual, that you lost some packages, but the amount of the packages is importent. :P

sry :D
*KI's ^^ i mean, how many cpu enemies :)

everytime, when packages send from and at your IPS, packages get lost, thats normal, your isp and pc use a protocal, that you send a new request for the packages, that got lost. as i said, this is usual. but what get critical is, when too many packages get lost.

I was talking about PvP games, although, most of dsynchs i've ever confronted myself, happened right when someone drop's out of the game, and his place is being taken by AI.
Yes, i know how such things work, or somewhat know, but my connection is just typically bad.

Why i mainly answered on Your post there, was that, what people think (and they may be right) to cause Dsynch from their words, was never that obvious to me.

Desyncs are sort of mystery...what lowers desyncs for some players has no impact on others etc. but in general playing vs AI tends to desync more often because AI technically "cheats". Depending on difficulty of AI the AI gets its resource income multiplied so mostly "expert AI" is not really "smarter" than "normal AI" but it simply has twice as much resources so it can build more units than you. More units means that the CPU needs to calculate more movement, more shots (so calculate more hit chances, more penetration chances, more damage, calculate trajectory of more projectiles etc.) and on some maps AI has horrible path finding which makes the game lag...real players usually operate with fewer units in the field which puts less work on the hardware.
Connection also has some part in this - weak internet conneciton can desync the game...
I'll leave space for other players to share their experience but I am affraid you will not get some definite answer in this matter.

I would like to add some of my recent experiences on this topic.
So i've been doing lots of 1v1 on 2v2 maps lately, especially on bizory (revised), and here is the thing, from estimate 10games on it, i had like 5 dsynchs.
1 against kwok, preety long and "cpu" intense game apparently, that got dsynchd after like 30+ minute, and 4 games with Oliderseeman, that all got dsynchd right from the start.
No altabing, no speed drops, no lag, nothing, but just sudden and random dsynch with certain person. We even tried sorta testing it week later (which is 4th game there) and same result.

It's strange how some certain people always get desync on this map, I have particularly talked with Seeman about this before.. but I don't seem to recognize his issue at all. And I am pretty sure the map is working just fine... The majority of the players had no problems whatsoever.

Well ye, first, i had thought that maybe it is something about PE faction, but no, i've already had games with PE there.
Then region (germany) in his case, and again no, i have already played germans on it.
Map is okay, and even more to say, i've been normally playing with/against Oli for past 2years on various maps, and can't recall a single dsynch with him included..
I didnt put it against map exclusively, im just pointing out weird thing out of nothing, dont get me wrong.
