Seriously it's time to stop with this cringe.
"You fell for Alt-F4 tip? LOL!!!" L O L and three exclamation marks. Every time I read this I feel like a thirteen-year old just laughed into my face.
What is this? Who wants this?

I believe it was introduced to motivate players to get better computers, which have faster load-times!
Then the transition to CoH 3 will go more smoothly...

Seconded. I can see it was an attempt at humour but the text snippets don't come across very well.

A man can only hope.

Still waiting. I'm fed up of reading 100 tips about dev bias jokes or some other stupid stuff. Enough is enough.
Re: Bring back old flavor text on loading
Historical tidbits would have been more appropriate so one can perhaps learn a thing or two about a rifle or some tank~

No poll really needed.
While the joke phrases are funny and all, yet.. there is no doubt Bk Mod already lacks in tutorial aspect.
Thus, useful game-play hints would definitely help. New players will be looking for tips to learn the game; and not to read such things. The current lines honestly lower the overall quality of the mod.. so let's please be more serious.

I think a good mixture of both is good for the mod.
Funny phrases for the veterans and good hints for the new players.

There should definitely be a hint about artillery costing muni upkeep.
Rifles are not for fighting. They are for building!

Thank you guys for bringing up actual good topics on this. History tips, tutorial tips, fresh patch things (like arty muni that you can't even really read anywhere except if you're a real fan and you log in here and read EVERY patch from start to finish). Exemplary ideas. Anything, honestly.
But now we're stuck with the dev jokes and honestly (with no disrespect) they aren't even that funny.
I think some historical stuff would give a mood to the start of the game and even more so.
Quite frankly, I came here to be a ww2 platoon leader, I didn't sign up for a daily stand-up dev comedy.

I am up of reverting texts, except something about Kwok's fault in developing
