depending on vet lvl.

vet 1: 15% faster reload

vet 2: 25% higher accuracy

vet 3: 15% less received damage

vet3 seems to be not worth it, if at least you are not riding on a king tiger or SP
also, vet0 gives additional sight

vet 3 is worth it if you dont want to get one hit killed by most vehicles.

Had situations where my Tiger didn't survived a one shot with a vet3 commander, tho KT had more chances against rocket strike

Commanders dont change the vehcile hit table. And most anti tank guns have a 5% insta kill crit chance vs the "TANK" template.

What I meant was that medium tanks that have about 600 hp will have a higher chance of survival vs cannons like the panther that does,
100-130 x 5 = 500-650dmg per shot

Red is right. If you have a Sherman and it gets hit by KT, the 15% damage reduction will not save the Sherman, but with the vet bonuses it has better chances against same-tier units or artillery hits etc.

Usually tanks are engaging tanks so that 20% of extra HP against 5% dying instantly - meeh

15% less taken damage is a lot and does help not to get oneshoted by regular shots that often.

And i dont think tanks are engaging tanks usually. I would rather say that superior tank engaging weaker tanks or anti tank weapons attack tanks.

Take as example a 75 mm or US 76 mm gun engaging a tank from ambush. In case it triggers a max damage the damage dealt is 750. That can even blow up a full 750 HP churchill or a sherman (W) with 700 HP. With that damage reduction the ammount of damage drops to 637,5. You see the chances to survive in any combat situation gets drastically increased.

Lets assume now this 75/76 mm gun triggers not max damage and instead, in the range of 400-600 damage, 500-550 damage which is the middle. The damage with 25% ambush boost goes as high 625-687,5 damage. Tanks with 600 HP or less would likely die and tanks with 636 HP (Tank IV´s, sherman 75 mm) would take huge damage or also die outright. This 15% damage reduction drops the taken damage to 531,25-584,375. The chances to survive or to take a less deadly crit is increased.

So overall it helps you to get away with a blue eye when the tank would actually be dead.

What indeed gets insane is the combination of 15% reduced taken damage by TC and 25% reduction by TH doc zimmerit unlock. A shot dealing 600 damage gets as low as 382,5. That turns a hetzer or Panzer IV technically a Panther when it comes to surviving pen hits. A 17 pdr becomes as good in killing a tank IV as in killing a Tiger.

Can we change up tank vet?

Like, giving reductions to aim time slightly? I'm getting so pissed off when aim time resets because I accidentally click on the enemy tank in the middle of my tank lining up a shot.

PRETTY PLEASE

Can't say so, chasing tanks usually fails for me, as my tank need 2-3 seconds to aim before the shot

and i have issues during attacks.... i drive towards an enemie tank, it comes into range and my tank shoots outright before my stopping order is executed. Thus my first shot always suffers the "reduced accuracy while moving" penalty.... the defensive tank is thus always in advantage. An aim time of like 1 sec would help my tank to stop first and aim properly instead of shooting before stopping. That pisses me off every time...
