I noticed the other day that the 7 men either upgraded PE squads/SAS or combination Sappers + Captain in a slit trench will only show 6 bodies inside the trench. I was curious if their combat effectiveness was reduced since there are visually fewer until 1 dies of course?

What you see is what you get. Only the 6 rifles shooting will contribute. Same with houses if you're curious, if there are only 3 windows only 3 people will be able to shoot.
