Infantry HD textures?

What exactly is the difference with this option on or off because i dont see any.

I always thought that the HD infantry has sharper textures when you zoom in really close. But I never used it, since while playing you don't really have time to zoom in and admire their uniforms while rest of your army is dying somewhere...so for me it is just performance eater.

HD texture means less blurry, more sharp, you can zoom in on the uniforms and see all details.
