Basic steps to get it running?

Hello,

since I can't log into the Relic server, and cant even remember how the mod should look like after start,
I'd like the plain order of basic steps to install and get it running.

(I use Opposing Fronts DVD, Windoze7 64 bit, old 4core, 8gb Ram, and a sufficient Radeon card. 5 UDP ports
from Xalibur times are still opened in the router. I did not change any of those.)

Furher questions, is a certain directory and directory name required for install? Is a NOCD-patch existent?

Wow, all that unnecessary information

Relic servers were shut down about 3 years or so ago.
You'll need to download steam and create an account there (if you don't alreay got one).
You can enter your CD Key of any CoH product in steam and you'll get the Company of heroes new steam version.

Then you download BK mod, run the installer.exe and start playing^^

That's all

New Steam version doesn't require a CD anymore
The installer will find your coh root automated

- had to start the game or games (opp fronts and coh relaunched) via steam in order to complete installation
- coh of via steam still wants the dvd
- deinstalled and reinstalled bkmod several times
- coh and coh of start via steam, while bkmod refuses to launch, always creating an error report window. warning log contains no error entries.

Just the new steam version works without disc since the server for the old versions doesn't exist anymore.
So you just need 'Company of Heroes (New Steam Version)' - everything is included there if you activated all the keys on steam.

Check if you downloaded the correct BK versions.

Succeeded in getting it running. Now i need the map pack as well...

And it says i need to fking buy Tales of Valor in order to use all factions?
Owning Opposing Fronts is not enough anymore?

Owning Opposing Fronts is not enough anymore?

You can either have Company of Heroes + Opposing Fronts or only Tales of Valor.
Both combinations will give you all factions.

Opposing Fronts alone was never enough, it only let's you use brits and PE.
