I can't join my friend's game

Hey, I can't join the session my friend's session.
We have the same versions and no other mods.
What is going on?

Have you tried verifying the game cache? Make sure neither of you have messed up files.
Have you tried playing other games together or even vanilla coh ? Can you join other people’s coh games?
