install issue,

First thank you all for the hard work and great mod. And now my issue that i need to request help with.

My issue is this, when i am finished installing Blitzkrieg_4.8.0.0_Full.exe

As requested i tried to read the FAQ file but this got in my way, so i post a request for help here.

i enjoy the game but am not overly computer literate, so this could be very simple to others but confuses me.

i do not have 4.7 installed do i need to download it and install it first then reinstall 4.8

No, you don't need 4.7, but you installed it outside of your CoH new steam version, you have to install it into CoH folder.

If you have CoH (new steam version) installed, point installer into that folder.

You have older CoH version, you need to install steam if you don't have it, then put your CD-Key in Games/Activate a product on steam and then install Company of Heroes (New steam version).

That's how it should look for you too.

Note that there is a "CoH" folder, but nothing from the BK mod goes in it!

By that you mean what? Which one, which windows version you are using, which antivirus etc.

I am using Windows 7 and I don't have any actual anti-virus other than the basic Microsoft Security Essentials. When I try to install the mod it asks me if I want to let the thing make changes to my computer (In this case install) and I say "Yes" and nothing happens. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Nevermind, everything seems to work except that the Historical Add-on doesn't want to work. Also, on my first game it crashed just as I was about to push into the opposing team's base. So far the mod looks glorious though despite some of these hiccups
