Re: Problem with file download
Now, I never used Windows 8 but I notice something weird here.
These files (the installers) should be .exe files and for me (Win10) they are labelled as applications/executables, not "0_xxx[1] FILE". This looks like a corrupted DL or your AV wrecked the files after you downloaded them or Windows 8 is crap...
Which Windows did you use before (where it worked)?
EDIT: Also, I assume from the files that this is about the CoH1-Mod - moved topic to the correct board

Update
It still doesn't work. I deleted all BK files, and uninstalled COH-New steam. Re-installed COH, downloaded BK and same thing happened.

Re: Problem with file download
Well, have you redownloaded the mod files?
They should be labelled as .exe files, not some weird stuff you can't open^^
And no, Windows by itself should be able to do that, it's not .rar-archives or such shenanigans, a simple double click should make the magic happen, eve on Crapdows 8 (yes, I kinda dislike that particular OS, never used it so I can't be certain but if there's a OS-side issue here it just makes that point for me... -.- ).
