Pro 1v1 on Langres. Luft vs Infantry Doctrine [5.1.6]

Post by TerrorsEnd »

This game is played on the newest patch which I believe is 5.1.6. My opponent goes by the name of "Frost" who I believe is a 1v1 specialist and is very good at this game (his micro is very good). We both have control of half of the map for the better part of 30 minutes. Things however start to pickup as heavy armor starts to roll onto the battlefield.

The game features quite some micro intensive gameplay and sneaky tactics. Enjoy.

American : Infantry doctrine - HeartOfDarkness
Panzer Elite: Luftwaffe - Frost

Dude, calm down. First Luft unit from Frost was deployed in 20 minutes and it was Panther, lul, while his mortar, 20mm halftracks with hetzer had less than a 50% health through whole game, because he didn't manage to repair them with fast repair nor base repairs upgrade. Only on 30 min mark he bought repair upgrade, but still didn't repair his shit, that's why he lost it under artillery fire.

Instead all his focus was on spamming with Panthers, that didn't go well. When third Panther came out, he had only falshims and paradroped pios, same thing was with his fourth panther, after loosing all previous ones. While enemy had 2 AT squads, 2 captain's riflemen, 2 snipers, 1 howie that could one-shot panther with it's ability, jumbos and shittons of M10 that tried to stop Panthers. If Frost managed to save his early game vehicles and at least score much kills with them, it could be another end

Luft gains power on bigger maps bc it gets easier to get all stuff at once.

I played luft on Blazing lowlands sometimes, that huge 3 vs 3 map with lots of MP (over 400 per min) and lots of ammo..... I could spam every min a new falli unit or tank and the entire map consisted only of sd2 which i literally spammed whenever the ability was finished cooldown.

And its not unkown that many many luft players dont even care about basic PE support units and abilities such as rep abilities and others dont even build all buildings and spam only falli units without hetzer/Panther support.

If they would make use of such things (20 mm vehicles, rep ability etc) they would be even better than just rushing panthers or falli inf.
Build more AA Walderschmidt
