Now that all snipers are limited to one, then i think Rifle Section squad should lose its sniping ability.. and in return CW faction would be given a separate sniper unit deploy-able from the HQ.
Rifle Section squad has always been a heavy counter to snipers.. sniper kills 1 member, gets revealed & sniped back.
So now in order to counter snipers, CW should also bring a sniper.. so it's a fair fight.

Would be a no from me. Sniper ability makes the faction unique, having a normal sniper unit like everyone else will be another step to mirror factions.

Limiting snipers to 1 was a mirror move to begin with.. each doc was different in terms of snipers and SS squad along with AB HQ squad were also unique with 1 sniper in the squad... Now that all those were "standardized" then i don't see why Rifle Section should be an exception.

Maybe bring back the Recon bundle ? So you have to atleased unlock it before useing it ?

Yeah, in my "weapons package" thread i also mentioned it. I would like to have a Package that adds two scoped enfields with increased accuracy while also adding the sniper ability rather than having it by default for the squad.

Or just make the sniper a 2 model unit (spoter,shoter) with the same total HP pool that it has now (and maybe even give him the bino or "reveal cammoed unit" that the spoter has?)

Ability doesn't auto-fire. You need to manually activate it, click on the target and wait for the soldier to fire and all of that before the enemy sniper re-camoes. Unless you show me some replays where CW massacres enemy snipers and infantry formation by excessive usage of this ability, I don't think it is necessary to change anything.
