vehicle cap
Re: vehicle cap
This is not really true. It was stated in the first beta announcement topic:
EDIT:
Although, the Blitzkrieg ability description mentions the capture speed increase so there are pointers about vehicle being able to cap points.
However, it is true that the text for the unlock has not been changed yet. We'll fix that.MarKr wrote:"Tank capture" unlock was not used very much because it made you keep a tank near a point for an eternity (to cap it) and so it was visible to the enemy and he could bomb/arty it any time, so now this ability is merged with the Blitzkrieg ability - once you unlock BK ability, your tanks will be able to cap points, however when you activate the ability, the tanks will be able to cap a lot faster for the duration of the ability.

Re: vehicle cap
As i read the description:
"Infantry fires 25% faster" Does that mean that even automatic weapons have a higher rate of fire?
That would be weird. Shouldnt it be "25%" reduced cooldown and 25% increased reload speed"?
Same for tanks: 50% faster shooting and reload 25% faster. How exctly does it effect the rate of fire of tanks for main and mgs. The gun cant fire faster as it can reload i would guess, or?

Re: vehicle cap
"shoot faster" means "cooldown". We used the "shoots faster" phrase because people who don't dable in Corsix would most likely get confused by the term "cooldown".
For infantry the automatic weapons don't get higher RoF, only cooldowns are shorter so they fire their bursts more often.
For vehicles it has both cooldowns and reloads because there are vehicles/tanks that have AT cannons (37mm HT, 50mm Puma, 75mm HTs...) and then there are some that have "magazine" weapons (20mm Puma/HT, Ostwind etc.). If the unit has a cannon (which don't use any cooldowns), the cooldown applies but does not do anything, the unit benefits only from the reload. If the unit has a magazine weapon, it has shorter cooldowns and also reloads faster - in the live version you can see that Ostwind with this ability kinda turns into a "37mm MG42". You can also see that tanks with this ability shoot faster but also get accuracy penalty to compensate for the sheer DPS buff.
For vehicles, the mentioned buffs only apply to their main guns, iirc, hull/coaxial MGs are unaffected.
