AT Guns with 1 man left

Postby Wolf » 22 Feb 2015, 18:08

37mm AT guns are currently not able to fire and move the AT gun when last man is left (next patch in US too), but he does not die like on other weapons.
I was thinking about making them able to be fire, but not move. Or be able to fire with slower reload.
So, this is something I am willing to let poll to decide...
This could maybe be expanded to other crews too?

Each man may not be specifically trained on each task to peak efficiency, but each man has to know to do each others jobs in the case that one is not present for whatever reason. I would agree with that movement be not allowed, but allowed to continue to fire at a slow rate.

The Axis 37mm needs fixing, as the seizure when having only one man left is annoying, though other AT guns come shortly after, so I rarely use it.

It should be able to fire but not to move as I believe.. but I consider the best option is for the last man to just die or to run out of the map like in CoH2 if possible! :P

They should be able to fire, but definitely fix it so that the last man isn't so hard to kill like it is now.

My opinion: Yes it should be able to fire, but very slow reload and cant rotate the gun at all. And as Wake said should be easier to kill.

Definitely YES - but with slower reload, no move. I would also recommend to do the same with all mortar teams (if possible).

yeah. Btw mortars: the brits 2 men movable mortar can retreat with one men. the PE 120 mm mortar is very quickly destroyed but it can retreat with one men. If mortar is destroyed and the last men retreats the mortar can be reinforced 5 times. 4 new crew member and 1 Mortar.

Maybe lower really the basic HP of heavy weapons just that one men can either use the weapon without moving it away or when weapon is destroyed let the crew retreat and reinforce new crew member and Weapon.

So everyone voted yes it should be able to fire but in the changelog we have:

- US 37mm AT gun will not be able to shoot or be movable when only 1 man crew is left

@Wolf was this just not codable maybe??

No you didnt :)

Does the US 37 currently fire with one man? I was confused as to why it would be in the changelog then?

Could this be also implemented to all mortars?

Will be in 4.8.7.0 on 37mm AT guns, in 4.8.8.0 it can be expanded on more AT guns instead of insta dying.

It won't be on mortars, atleast not in next patch.

That would be good on future versions as a single man can handle a mortar, of course more slowly, and it will make them more attractive compared to halftrack mortars (that, imo, should be more doctrine specific)
