Re: Games on "Revised" Maps

yeah.... but humans who play believe if there's a closed slot then it's the "wrong way to play". It's like they create these rules that is "the right way to play" even though devs say explicitly otherwise. It's like "basebombing" is a rule that everyone just makes up an...

I think what Warhawks is saying that you used rock to fight paper and scissors to fight rock... stickies didn't ruin you, strategy did.

Re: Games on "Revised" Maps

What I mean is removing 2 players (one on each side) for maps. That way the map isn't so cramped and scales with the BK ranges. I've done this with some maps and I felt it turned out great, I don't think the people I shared the maps with even noticed it was adjusted until I pointed it out and there ...

Re: Games on "Revised" Maps

Hm, it was advertised different in lobbies I've played in. Thanks for the clarification playmobil. Welp, my quest to get everyone on bigger maps continues... Playmobil, for future map fixes, would you consider removing player counts on the maps? I've done it for some myself but I couldn't get replac...

Games on "Revised" Maps

Some people think that the issue of artillery is the abundance in munition points, which is partially true... So here's a replay on a "revised" map where supposedly the map should be "fixed" of issues including arty balance. small 'revised' arty fest.rec If you haven't figured ou...

Re: Doctrine Specialization: Example Firefly in the RAF doc and Grenadiers in Wermacht

Yeah... kind of like how Blitz and Terror are pretty much played like identical doctrines (except for terror's artillery)... choosing between the two is pretty much just for flavor. The only distinguishing "often used" unit that blitz uses over terror is the P4. Else, based on how identica...

Re: How to counter overly defensive strategy (flak emplacements)

Hi sphener, I hope you're still on here. I did eventually watch the replay and have a few comments. Before I start though, I definitely recommend you play bigger maps. Angoville has some broken aspects to it, for example everytime you try to capture the +16munition you get bogged by the base defense...

Re: 4.9.9 Patch Preview

I'll just say I disagree with Warhawks in that while it is not often used, the crocc Sherman is powerful enough as is and a great tool. It is up to the players to use in the first place, but often don't.

Re: High caliber mortars.

Yeah that should actually work for every mortar and team weapon I think... it's just that the other team weapons normally outlast the soldiers. It's rare for it to happen to others. I think either a bump in heavy mortar hp or adjustment to its crit table would decrease the chance of the situation yo...

Team weapons have their own hp and stuff, so if it dies but the squad survives that's what happens.

1. Okay I'll finish the post at the request of friends. It'll probably take me a few more days cuz I'm away traveling these next few days. 2. Markr's breath is wasted. Even in your concern about "super AT teams" that IS an issue of bigger maps. Your complaint is the efficiency of handheld ...

Re: AB vs SE

This is off-topic, but to be honest I get tired writing posts because I write them, people hardly respond or discuss, more often people agree too. But when it comes to actually playing... no one does it. For example, I say play big maps and most people agree that it is the best way to play but i go ...

Re: AB vs SE

I think the reason for airborne's "high flexibility" is the same as why I think the new def doctrine will not accomplish the objective it's trying to get. I mentioned airborne's flexibility a few times in scattered posts. It's the same reason RAF is so strong too. Which reminds me I should...

Re: Rework of Defensive Doctrine - Concept

To be honest, I think the def doc is not the doctrine to work on in terms of "axis docs lack variety". It is more so the terror doc that is the trouble maker as it will encompass all capabilities relative to the blitz and def doc. I will type up more about my thoughts on the new doctrine l...

Re: Allied tanks and artillery vulnerability

I misread. My bad. I'm in somewhat agreement then, I find it laughable that nowadays artillery is used as anti tank counter, id say for both axis and allies. Though I personally attribute that problem to playing on small maps more than balance.

Re: Replacing 75mm emplacement with 88mm emplacement

I think what warhawks is saying is what will be the difference between the flak 88 and the 88pak, not that anything is over performing. It's a question on game design, not everythign he says is an axis nerf/allied buff balance question. Warhawks, it could just be a cheap AT purpose only emplacement ...
