You can always trade something to maintain balance. Thats what we always do. 1. 5 men squads 2. Assault grens have no rifles and only short range weapons like STG and MP40 3. Actually many TDs have HE. Achillies, Marder 3, Hellcat , AT HTs and so on. Wouldnt say that HE isnt present in TDs at all. Also, the elephant gun is so powerfull you dont need the ambush to oneshot most tanks. This thing is so slow and vulrnable to flanks, that i would rather have some abilitys in...

Haven't read everything but my qualms is, There should be no buff to infantry at all. So no camo. Read something about pz4 having stealth which I'm against. Usually TD have camo and ho HE, Elephant has no HE but a weird camo ability. That shouldn't ever be used, like why would you ever use it? oh no...

Thanks for the clarification. I neither like nor dislike the change. It would change the unit from a useful unit to another useful unit. nerf inactive use and buff active use. There is not a single RTS in which suppression weapons exist that have such a stupid mechanic.
Dawn of war 2 Space marine devastator squad can get an upgrade the removes its suppression by a click of a button ability for more dmg.

The hmg is expensive and needs all the love it can get. it's weak enough as it is. I dont even know if you want to buff it or nerf it? Like what is the problem? Why not lock the camo behind assault phase? Because it has heavy cover and can just walk up to enemy infantry squads and shoot jeeps. there is little counterplay to do against that thing except for sniper + recon combo.
