Hm, to be honest I haven't had trouble vs ranger spam. The only trouble I ever have against inf doc is the mortar pits. I will admit inf doc is 10x more deadly in urban terrain, but nothing flame grenades can't solve. Thank god those are only reserved for AB. Ouch. I thought I played AB really well....

Eh. Never saw a problem. I find ways around it if it's a problem. I use it if I find it useful. I sort of like the idea of a costly switch, forces players to think twice about what role they want their unit to fill. But, that's just me. I'm just not a fan of easy all around units that take less crit...

Technically the recommended settings are 225 popcap, so I think that's the setting the game will be focused in balancing for. Part of the reason why pop cap and cost are not standardized. From what I understand, all mortars are done by a random spot in an area. Accuracy for all mortars are the same, but when AoE is the size of a king tiger it's really hard to miss. Satchels... I cried when that happened. Demo squads really didn't need bundle grenades. But EVERYONE insisted because the "demo squads were useless". Pfft. they were useless because they were being used for anti-inf infiltrators predominately rather than, oh I don't know... DEMOLITIONS? Ug...

I bet I can give a reason why big maps will solve flow better than any of these original suggestions. 1. Snipers On a big map, snipers lose a lot of power because they don't dominate the entire goddamn map. They become expensive precision damage and sector control with the trade off of capping power...
