Re: Royal engineer not op? ok so my name is bruce lee.
Kick illa plz. Report for being a snitch. SNITCHES GET STITCHES!! Yes the 75 stubby is my ht of choice because it has smoke, ap, he, and a mean ass mg. If you ever want to tilt shadow and make him panic, get that. It literally ruins his day. He would rather face a panther or tiger, no joke. It's hil...

Re: Royal engineer not op? ok so my name is bruce lee.
I think that's why I like AB, they have drop anywhere super accuracy smoke. It's awesome. Blitz has it too on their stug iii's. It's awesome if it didn't have to turn to face. Can I request that be fixed and it not turn facing dependent? Makes things really awkward as a supporting unit. Also, I disa...

Re: Royal engineer not op? ok so my name is bruce lee.
Playbetter, I get what you're saying that making larger maps won't change a player's style but I think it will make the same repeating styles and formulas less effective. It'll also open up more options to counter those boring and abusive formulas. For example, say the formula is to rush emplacement...

Re: Royal engineer not op? ok so my name is bruce lee.
I was mid typing a response and saved the draft, but it looks like the convo went on before i had a chance to put up some thoughts. Here they are anyways. Problem is that he builds those emplacements in a blink of an eye... I was even attacking with my Pz.IV once, and the RE Sappers just started bui...

Lol, Markr kills with numbers. Exposing the failures of anecdotal players with facts, I always I love it. I completely disagree that the wirbelwind should be adjusted in price or balanced at all. I think there is zero problem with it. I only want to bring up some reasons why I think it's not being u...

Re: Early Game Meta Analysis
Hi, wanted to share what kind of info I found from the surveys so far. In a WM vs US scenario, WM has advantage (by a magnitude of 10pts). In a WM vs CW scenario, CW has advantage (by a magnitude of 1pts). In a PE vs US scenario, PE has advantage (by a magnitude of 14pts). In a PE vs CW scenario, PE...

Re: Royal engineer not op? ok so my name is bruce lee.
I might as well throw my opinion in so it doesn't seem like Toni is the only one who thinks emplacements isn't a problem. Emplacements aren't a problem. Please see my countless of replays I posted where I took bases (2 AA emplacements minimum, sometimes multiple buildings with 360 mg42s mounted on t...

Re: Nice 3v3 and, despite being played on Cherburg, almost no arty
That Tojo player sure does suck... he was just SUCH a weight for allied players. I wonder who it is...? I WONDER WHO IT ISSSSS? Hint: I smell your style from a mile away and made a bet with Toni that I knew who it was. Edit: just for clarification, I don't think Tojo sucks. I'm just teasing a friend...

Re: 1v1 gg mencius!
It use to only be useless annecdotal support to these capture claims... and I always agreed with Toni quietly because at the end of the day I only had annecdotes. But now, we can also safely compare capture times now thanks to Markr's post. This is how much sappers cap faster than pgrens on points: ...

Early Game Meta Analysis
Hi all, I made something to help me balance my own CoH2 mod, I thought it'd be cool to share my tool with BK. It's a grid built on game theory that helps explain why certain equilibriums and metas occur. If you want to read more about the academics behind game theory you look up concepts like ESS (m...

Re: Mobile medic halftracks
Just to point out some other borderline related ideas in case some people didn't know: WM is the only faction without a mobile heal station, but you can create a medic from the triage building that can be put into a halftrack and basically act as a medic HT (without the ability to pick up bodies). W...

Re: Should the 95mm Cromwell stay in RAF doctrine?
Agreed with Kr0zon on this last point. But I've explained it before probably more times than Markr wants to talk about it. But.... just to catch up others who may not have heard my rant... (I'll keep it short). Balance problems will always exist in BK not because of minor value tweaks that push unit...

Asking the right questions to improve
I like teaching people BK and I use to teach fencing a lot in my personal life. One question that people ask me a lot in both games is "What did I do wrong?" Sometimes this is a fine question. But I think a better question to ask people is "What should I do to win?" This is one o...

Re: Should the 95mm Cromwell stay in RAF doctrine?
Well, you know where I stand. The issue for me isn't the cromwell balance itself (because I don't think it's a real balance issue) but the fundamental design decision of doctrines.

Re: "Alternative maps" pack
Extra wolfheze 2v2? You mean the 3v3 version of wolfheze? I've set player positioning in a way that the teammates are together and I found it fun coordinating where to go together/separated. I think the map you're thinking of is redball which is most obvious. But I really don't think the majority of...

Re: "Alternative maps" pack
Tried this once, I agree but want to caution that sometimes it isn't enough. It's not just resource but resource per area; if the area isn't big enough then it just makes mortars stronger since they don't cost that much but the ease of targeting indirect fire remains the same. See most 1v1 maps with...

I'll probably sound a bit harsh because at my core I'm pretty against posts like these: more problem finding that solution finding. I get the reason and I don't think it's a good reason which I can get into later. The issues: TL:DR - Boys are the earliest, most mobile, most versatile, unflankable un...

Re: British Openings and Build Order
My advice would be to get used to Brits as I find US to be lackluster in the competetive scene. For early game you use your starting sapper and run it to the middle of the map, then find the closest heavy cover that faces the enemy. Remember that your sappers dont have to build anything and are a s...
