Re: Panthers in the Beta version
I agree that having Storms crawl earlier would be great, besides early Panthers BK doc doesn't have much momentum. Crawling would help to crush the early defences instead of going into the defence mod yourself waiting for the bigger tanks. Besides, giving some buffs to panzer 4's in this particular ...

Re: Ostwind has terrible accuracy
It's not great with both, but especially terrible with HE. A small obstacle or not flat terrain makes it always miss.

Ostwind has terrible accuracy
This unit just hits dirt most of the time and totally not worth its price when Stubby Panzers come with HE by default. Have a look at its accuracy modifiers please, too often I see how it wastes the entire burst and gets killed by the front AT team rush due to its long reloading time.

Re: Def doc
Great game! I think that Axis lost it because Red tried way to hard with Pz4 spam, which is pretty much always a fail strategy. A Panther at minute 30 could finish the game really quick.

Re: SAS Insta-Smoke Needs to Go
I haven’t experienced similar problems against SAS, you just have to react quick and drive your tank back, so that SAS leaves the smoke in order to get into the shooting distance.

Re: Panthers in the Beta version
There were never problems with Panthers when TD’s were able to take them down from the ambush reliably, that’s why I suggested this solution knowing that it worked perfectly before. @Tiger M18 or M10 will never handle the Panther toe to toe in the open field, but what does Panther has more chances t...

Re: Panthers in the Beta version
An increase of basic gun stats of aforementioned TD's with better penetration chance for zooks will do the job as well.

Re: Infantry in the Beta version
I think Hawk's solution is viable. Though, I would still stick with mine (reinforcement price reduction), because otherwise you will have to substitute lots of CP tree unlocks with something. However, even in that case, some inf would badly need a reinforcement cost drop.

Re: Infantry in the Beta version
1) Why should basic infantry stay combat-relevant the whole game? How can "elites" stand out in comparison to basic infantry if the basic infantry can fight just slightly worse than elites? Vsturms are cheap to get and reinforce + if they fight against elites, you can use the propaganda abilities t...

Re: Panthers in the Beta version
In return all allied TD’s (M10, Jackson, Hellcat, Achilles) should receive improved camo modifiers for damage, pen and accuracy. The Panther that drives into the ambushed Hellcat or other TD with the tank commander and activated AP must be dead in 9 out of 10 occasions. Probabyl the main problem wi...

Re: Panthers in the Beta version
Yeah, I meant M3A3C rockets. By significant penetration chance, I mean something around 25%, so that approx. every 4th rocket pens. By the way, I know that the "realism factor" does not apply in our discussions anymore, but the lower armor plate of the Panther could be penetrated by zook as it was w...

Panthers in the Beta version
While the HP nerf is a good solution, speed and acceleration reduction kills the whole advantage of Panthers over Tiger tanks. Going to the root of the problem - the whole story started when camo modifiers got changed and HE shells together with coaxial mg’s started to work properly. From that point...

Infantry in the Beta version
So I tried the recent beta and came to the conclusion that vet. changes do not solve the problem of price to performance ratio that elite inf has in compare to basic inf and vehicles. 1) The basic inf received the nerf that it didn’t deserve at all. Now once again rifles and volks will be obsolete u...

Re: About v5.2.8
I think TS doc is exactly where tanks should cost less than in other doctrines because they don't have fuel trade like WH. It is really difficult to save up for any tank bigger than PZ4, because PE is generally more expensive than WH, where you can hold the ground good enough with cheap volks, pione...

Re: Elite Inf Reinforcement Cost
That’s true. Moreover, I even often feel like the rifle section with Bren does more damage than SAS.
@Kwok @Mark
Do rifle commando, SAS and rifle section have different stats for their brens and enfields?

Re: panther.d
I don’t think that this Panther is weak at all. It does it’s job of crushing tanks very well, just back it up with Pak 40 Puma or couple of reg. 5 squads with Schrecks which you certainly always have on the field and racing cromwells will give you lots of command points.

Re: Elefant ACE
TS already has more tanks that it can ever afford due to their high cost and lack of fuel trade ability. Besides, Jagdpanther is better in every aspect. Therefore, most of the players will prefer to wait for 2 CP more and go for a better unit.

I agree that Pershings are sort of underwhelming for their price. Basically Axis get Panther which can handle anything besides SP for the same price, whilst normal Pershings are only good in....idk in what actually, it’s 50:50 against Panthers I would say and probably even less chances against tiger...

Re: Anti Air to strong right now
AA is indeed extremely strong, oftentimes one AA unit can completely lock down a 2v2 map, shooting down and planes the same second they cross the map border. Really great idea about fixing Stuka and Thunderbolt. AB with that, 101s cost drop/performance improvement and not handicapped HQ team can bec...

Re: Elite Inf Reinforcement Cost
That’s the point, they are OK as a complementary unit. But it’s weird to have half of the command tree built around the particular units when they are the best only as support to mighty vehicles, right? SS is a different story because they are non CP. Storms and Rangers are the best of elite inf atm...

I have just posted this in the "SAS is broken" section, but the topic is so acute that it deserves its own topic in my opinion. Everyone is welcomed to discuss. Re: SAS are broken
Whereas many people are excited about the recent RAF changes, I do not share their opinion at all. Now the best way to play "commando doc" is to not build any commando. The same problem as AB, they are too weak for their expensive reinforcement cost. Most of the time there are just 2 elite inf squad...

Re: Inf doc off maps
I think the 105 is fine, it still wipes out infantry squads in a single hit.. i usually use it vs high vet inf units that are attempting to capture points or stand behind cover, or vs immobilised tanks. Regarding the Long Tom; i actually think the damage output of this thing is actually shared with...
