Re: 5.26 general unit pathfinding is way worse.
My bad i used the term disconnect instead of desync.I am fairly confident however that the bugged unit pathfinding causes the desynchronization effect and not the other way around. As i said players click as mad in an attempt to fix the unit pathfinding and the peer to peer game network code probably...

Re: 5.26 Propaganda tiger ace call in bug.
It has only happened once in saint hilaire. I haven't tried it again. I know the building is required and it has worked if you first unlock the ability and then construct or upgrade the building. I assume it will also work if you already meet all the requirements and then unlock the ability. The bug...

5.26 Propaganda tiger ace call in bug.
If you loose your upgraded panzer command without yet unlocking tiger ace call in and later rebuild it,the ability activates but the tiger never arrives.

5.26 general unit pathfinding is way worse.
General unit pathfinding is way worse even in several vanilla maps.I am not just talking about armored units although they are also included.Beware that bugged pathfinding also causes more frequent disconnects.Probably because every player clicks like mad trying not to let his units walk to their do...

Re: Armor doctrine
It wasn't just that garrisoned AT strike, but the way you handled the riflemen around the other building in order not to get shot by HE.I mean sure THEY didn't have a faust (and even if they had sticky bombs they must be dropped closer than that) but using in them as bait was viable and not as suicid...

Re: Armor doctrine
I got served twice by wald today which was no surprise. However i was taught how much more effective handheld ATs are with proper micro compared to what i thought. So i must admit that stugs and late pz4s are a bit less of a threat the more micro skilled your opponent is since targeting AT squads with...

Re: Armor doctrine
Let me be clear,i repeat that although i mostly play pve all my above observations have to do with my (admittedly low level) pvp games. For example in a normal resources pvp game when i refer to stug spam i mean when you have something like 3 mg teams,2 volks squad,1 AT gun,1 nebelwerfer,2 engineer s...

Re: Armor doctrine
I don't think any such revelation in a new pro pvp player is likely, lol. But i am old enough to get used in getting my ass kicked by better opponents plus losing teaches you way more than wining. Also i am mature enough not to care if people i have never met measure common sense in game balance just b...

Re: Armor doctrine
Although i mainly play vs expert cpu (which i have stated in many of my posts) that doesn't mean that i never play vs humans. However since i only play vs human opponents among my friends the opponent pool and thus the skill cap is limited (none of us is much better than an expert cpu on an open basi...

Re: Armor doctrine
I also don't think a match will prove anything since our skill levels are so unequal (due to me playing mostly vs expert CPUs on open basic maps). But i have nothing against a match either.Having said that i find it hard to believe that someone who is better than me believes that playing armor is as ...

Re: Armor doctrine
Ofcourse jackson is better vs heavies than the sherman, however it's an overkill vs pz4s and stugs as well as much worse vs infantry while being way more expensive and fragile. In any case i prefer flanking an axis heavy with a cheaper hellcat which is also way better vs infantry thanks to .50 cal.It ...

Re: Armor doctrine
The easy 8 doesn't offer more protection but more cross country mobility. At least that is what it says in the description and if that's not the case then it needs to be clarified.I agree that the increased accuracy while moving isn't a big deal although every bit helps when flanking heavier axis arm...

Re: Armor doctrine
@ CGgar. <<76mm's just got a fat buff recently against mediums and some TD's, so yes, the enemy will have cheap late P4's at the same time, but that's pretty much a 50/50 matchup at this point since both sides reliably pen eachother. Stugs are meant to counter shermans (even 76mm ones, as it still h...

Re: Armor doctrine
I doubt that this will negate the need for armor doctrine CP adjustment, but i am all in favor in making the supply yard available earlier in order to field more lower tier units instead of upteching asap. That would benefit all US doctrines. In fact i already suggested to transfer .50 cal upgrade to t...

Re: Armor doctrine
There are certain above statements i agree with and others i don't,however i'm not a pvp expert so i will just state some personal opinions. Stugs were and still are more cost effective then shermans and to a certain degree so are late pz4s.It takes 3 CPs to get cheap 76mm shermans and @2,3 or at mo...

Re: Developing a Mod
No need to thank me or present proofs for my sake.If you claim that the majority of the forum members believed that old old armor was op in 1v1 i will take your word for it.I wouldn't agree with them but on the other hand i can't claim being a pvp genius since most of my games are vs expert cpus on ...

Re: Developing a Mod
First of all sorry for hijacking this thread for armor doctrine issues. Secondly i 100% agree that .50 cal needed to be locked even behind a fuel cost, since ammo is not needed for critical tech upgrades thus it's easier to be spared. My problem is that in the armor doctrine this fuel cost is indirect...

Re: Developing a Mod
Here are all the changes. With the exception of the .50 cal unlock price i don't see anything drastic. - Lowered the CP cost of Jackson to 2CP (from 3CP) - Lowered the CP cost of Jumbo to 2CP (from 3CP) - Increased the CP cost of Super Pershing/Pershing Ace to 4CP (from 2CP) - Changed the global .50c...

Re: Developing a Mod
I understand that a single unit stat change may have a big difference in game balance (although since the jackson is a rather late game expensive dedicated tank destroyer with very weak armor,i see no reason why it shouldn't match the accuracy and gun range of a panther). However doctrine change is w...

Re: Developing a Mod
I respect the status quo of established balanced between the veteran BK mod community when it comes to minor changes. However when the latest 5.2 version changes doctrines so much you do realize that more drastic balance tweaks are needed. I 'll be frank when you add a second wehrmacht faction (propa...

Re: M36 accuracy (Ambush fails)
@ Tiger, cheap 76mm shermans cost 3 CPs.For 2 CPs you can get stugs. If not then @ 3 or 4 CPs you get cheap late version pz4s which are obviously better armored than shermans and face way softer targets thus spamming them scales much better in late game.Try to do that with shermans in any other doctri...

Re: M36 accuracy (Ambush fails)
Stug survivability is still better than shermans (even after you invest in exclusive armor upgrades) and after you get the second one the lack of turret isn't a huge deal. The .50 cal is a huge bonus but the upgrade is so expensive that it's only viable after you have at least 3 shermans. So no i dont...
