Personally, I would be in favor of just buffing the HE gun of the Cromwell vs buildings (but not against infantry). Why not buffing the Cromwell's HE against infantry? Well US can't build enfield commandos.. and Brits already have SAS in that regard.

Didn't try rangers yet but Rangers cost a shit tone of ammo every time you build them.. I rather spend that ammo in arty honestly.

So a commander based around Infantry does suck in Infantry combat? :/

Sounds like introducing tiers of AA units. But lets add a twist: Higher tiers don't have to be simply more effective in killing planes. They could have a bigger range.
