I like figree's suggestion, although keeping the aimed shots would be nice too. Maybe tie either aimed shots or free fire to stationary position so theres a trade off rather than it just being a flat upgrade.

Having the vgrens be upgraded along the vstrums sounds like the best choice to me if grens are going to be removed from terror. Mark target is pretty much a targeted debuff, could just copy it from something like the recce over to the officer squad. An evasion ability similar to that of the command panzer (reduce incoming accuracy by a considerable amount for a period of time but lowered offensive capabilities to compensate)...

I seriously suggest you try using the 57mm in a game against players using stug 4's and pz4's, even with AP it's performance is lackluster and the thing might as well be a 37mm if it has to take a shot without the stealth buffs. These changes together with the changes suggested for AT rifle squads on WH and CW might also help deal with the upgraded jeep spams that I've been seeing a lot of recently after the AT rifles were confined to blitz doc and put in the wehrmacht quarters.

This thread is proposing MANY changes... the volatility of these suggestions is huge, potentially more than doctrine changes because these are actually unit performance changes rather than structural. Was going to add that the ranger should be available for inf sooner if the grenadiers are going to be available immediately but if the grenadiers are being pushed back to assault then the volks and rifles are fine as is. If grens are being moved it'd probably be better to push them to assault phase ...

@warhawks I was looking through my post history because i remember one of us mentioning it in a recent discussion but I couldn't find it, I guess the changes to the panzer 3 would just come with the fixes to panzer 4 armor in general then (assuming they ever come).
